The Cambridge Food Bank said more people in need are coming through their doors and they’re turning to the community for help.

In a news release, the organization said they are experiencing a 22 per cent increase in requests from residents facing food insecurity.

To combat the growing need, the food bank is launching a stuff-a-van initiative. They are hoping to collect at least $20,000 in food and funds.

The van will be visiting several locations until October.
