To mark the back-to-school season, when lunchboxes across North America get filled with sticky peanut butter and jam sandwiches, gourmet soda company Jones Soda has launched a PB&J-flavored drink.
From the same company that's bottled the flavors of Thanksgiving dinner -- green bean casserole, mashed potatoes and butter, cranberry, turkey and gravy -- into a set of soda flavors comes a new, limited edition beverage that liquifies peanut butter and grape jelly into drinkable form.
To make it kid-friendly, the company reassures that the product is made with no peanuts.
The Peanut Butter and Jelly soda will launch in Toronto at Rabba Fine Foods locations and roll out through the U.S. at the end of August. Products are also available for purchase online.
Adventurous drinkers may also know about Lester’s Fixins, which also produces eyebrow-raising soda flavors like Buffalo Wing, Bacon and Ranch Dressing. The company also makes a peanut butter and jelly soda.
