The civil trial aimed at settling the estate of late boxer Arturo Gatti has resumed with no deal yet between the battling sides.
Negotiations will continue in Montreal today, but so will the trial.
Gatti's widow, Amanda Rodrigues, and his family negotiated behind closed doors Tuesday as the trial was suspended.
But Carmine Mercadante, a lawyer for the Gatti family, said this morning he needs more time to discuss matters with his clients.
Rodrigues and the Gattis are squaring off over an estate that the trial judge has estimated at $3.4 million.
The two sides have been at odds since Gatti's death at a Brazilian resort in 2009.
The boxer's family does not accept the conclusion of Brazilian authorities that he committed suicide. And they reject the legitimacy of a will, signed just weeks before his death, that left everything to Rodrigues.
