Athlete and explorer Lonnie Dupre shares his 25 years of experience in Greenland, Alaska and the North Pole in a one-hour documentary to premiere on Saturday at the Outdoor Adventure Expo in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Produced by Emmy Award winner Deia Schlosberg in collaboration with Dupre and One World Endeavors, the film will be available for downloading after making the rounds at film festivals worldwide.
"We produced this film and organized remote expeditions to show the beauty of the Arctic, as well as the impact of climate change and what we have to lose by not addressing it," said Dupre. "My hope is that Cold Love will help people understand how the pole's snow and ice essentially acts as a thermostat, reflecting the sun's energy back into space, to keep our planet cool."
Dupre won't be seen soaking up the Hollywood sunshine: after the premiere he'll try to become the first to solo summit Denali, Alaska, North America's highest peak.
