PANAMA CITY -- A Panamanian radio and television host says trouble-plagued pop star Justin Bieber has been relaxing on a beach in Panama on a vacation from the United States, where the Grammy-nominated singer faces driving under the influence charges after being arrested last week.

Eddy Vasquez was filming a show at the Pacific Coast resort in Punta Chame, about 90 miles west of Panama City, when he spotted Bieber and members of his entourage walking along the beach. He and his crew took pictures of the singer and his companions, who got on personal watercraft and travelled to a nearby island.

Bieber's publicist did not immediately respond Sunday to an email request for comment.

Police in Miami Beach said they arrested Bieber smelling of alcohol after officers saw him drag-racing before dawn on Thursday, his yellow Lamborghini travelling at nearly twice the speed limit.
