The direct flight is one of four to Hamilton launching that month, with the others flying out of Vancouver, Calgary and Halifax.

The announcement coincides with what Porter describes as “airport terminal enhancements” in the Ontario city.

Porter’s 132-seat Embraer E195-E2 will be flown on all the routes.

The first flight will depart from Edmonton at 12:20 p.m. on June 11.
