Sylvan Lake RCMP said one man had been charged after a Jeep collided with a school bus on a highway Tuesday morning.
RCMP said officers, along with members of the Bentley Fire Department and Lacombe County Patrol were called to the crash, just south of the town of Bentley on Range Road 12, at the intersection of Township Road 402 at about 8 a.m.
Police said investigation revealed a Jeep heading eastbound on the Township Road went through a yield sign, before it was hit by a northbound school bus.
The school bus was taking children to the Lacombe Christian School at the time – with 17 children, and the driver, on board.
