Fire in basement suite near Whyte Avenue under investigation: police

The Edmonton Police Service is investigating a fire at a basement suite just south of Whyte Avenue.

Emergency crews were called to the house at 105 Street and 79 Avenue over the noon hour on Monday.

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services said it took about 15 minutes to put the fire out.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is not known.
