ContactHeather Butts is the Weekend Anchor for CTV NATIONAL NEWS. She has been part of the CTV News team since 2014, serving in multiple roles including anchor, reporter, and morning host at local stations across Canada including CTV Barrie and CTV Atlantic.
Throughout her career, Butts has covered a wide range of breaking news and major events, including provincial and federal elections, the Fredericton shooting in 2018, and Hurricane Dorian. She’s profiled many prominent Canadians and had the opportunity to fly with the Canadian Forces Snowbirds while covering one of the iconic squadron’s tour stops.
Butts grew up in the Toronto area, and has always enjoyed working with members of her community and sharing their stories with viewers. A graduate of the Media Studies-Journalism program at the University of Guelph-Humber, her first job in journalism was at CHEX Television in Peterborough, Ont.
She speaks English.
