Barry’s work has appeared on podcasts, newspapers, radios, and televisions across the country. He previously worked in newsrooms in Alberta, Ottawa, and Montreal, and is quickly closing in on his career goal of reporting in every single community of his home province, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Barry has won multiple awards for his reporting in Newfoundland and Labrador, and was recognized as the Video Journalist of the Year in 2020 by the Atlantic Journalism Awards. He is a graduate of Carleton University’s School of Journalism.
On his days off, he can be spotted around downtown St. John’s running laps with his poodle, Fig.
He speaks English and French.
