Colton Praill

Colton Praill is a Weekend Correspondent for CTV National News, based in Ottawa, where he covers significant stories unfolding in Canada’s National Capital Region.

Previously, Praill worked as a Multi-Skilled Journalist at CTV News Ottawa, a role he began in 2021.

Praill began his journalism career as a radio host in rural Manitoba, before spending time in Thunder Bay and Regina, where he worked in numerous roles including videojournalist, news anchor, sports anchor, and weather specialist.

He has covered a multitude of notable stories, including award-winning coverage of the 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus crash, and the 2020 ‘Freedom Convoy’ in Ottawa.

Praill studied broadcasting at the College of Sports Media in Toronto.

He speaks English and French.
