The pickup truck belonging to a missing Ancaster, Ont. man has been located at a property north of Toronto, police say.
Timothy Bosma’s truck was recovered from an address in Kleinburg, Ont. Sunday afternoon, a Hamilton police source told CP24.
Investigators removed the truck from the property.
Bosma, 32, has been missing since May 6, when he took two strangers on a test drive of his black 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck he was selling online.
When Bosma didn’t return home, police began a massive hunt for the husband and father.
Hamilton police made an arrest in connection with the disappearance of Bosma Saturday, charging Toronto resident Dellen Millard, 27, with forcible confinement and theft over $5,000.
Since then, officers have been stationed outside Air Hangar 53 at the Region of Waterloo International Airport in Breslau.
Police confirmed that Dellen Millard’s family founded and ran Millard Air, a charter airline that once flew out of Toronto Pearson International Airport.
Police have not said what they are doing there, but told CTV News they have obtained a search warrant and will be entering the facility Monday. Officers also searched Millard’s Etobicoke home Saturday.
The Toronto Star reported that Millard broke a record when he was 14 for being the youngest Canadian to fly solo in both an airplane and a helicopter in the same day.
Second suspect at large
Investigators are continuing their hunt for a second suspect still at large.
Police in Hamilton, Toronto and Waterloo are following up on more than 300 tips they’ve received from the public.
The second suspect is described as white with a medium build. He is approximately five-foot-nine inches tall with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt pulled over his head.
On Friday, police reported that Bosma’s truck had been spotted in downtown Brantford on Monday night. Police on Saturday focused their search in that area, asking that any surveillance video from businesses in the area be handed to police. Up to 40 officers from the OPP and the Hamilton police swept an industrial area but found nothing.
Mother issues tearful plea
Speaking to the media earlier Sunday, the missing man’s mother Mary Bosma pleaded for the safe return of her son.
Reading from a written statement, an emotional Mary Bosma described the painful ordeal her family is going through as they await answers about her son.
"We don’t know where he is, we don’t know if he’s safe or who’s got him," Mary Bosma said from her son’s Ancaster home. “My heart is broken. I love him so much.”
“On this Mother’s Day, it’s my prayer and my wish to get my son home with us, safe to his wife and daughter.”
Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the police at 905-546-2100 or Crime Stoppers.
