FREDERICTON -- A request for proposals has been issued to help the New Brunswick government sell its plane.
The government is seeking a broker to help market and sell the King Air B200, twin-engine turbine aircraft.
The aircraft has become a political lightning rod after the Liberal Opposition accused Tory government members of using it inappropriately in 2011, something Premier David Alward has denied.
The government has also issued a request for proposals seeking a five-year contract for executive charter flight services that would replace the government plane.
Transportation Minister Claude Williams says he expects the new flight service will be in place in the next few months.
Responses to both requests are due by June 17 and will be evaluated by a committee.
