YELLOWKNIFE -- Military aircraft, police and civilian crews are searching for a small overdue boat on Great Slave Lake with five people aboard.
RCMP say four adults and one child left Yellowknife in the aluminium boat on Saturday.
They were heading for Lutsel K'e, a small First Nation community about 200 kilometres east of the city.
The Royal Canadian Air Force has dispatched a C-130 Hercules from Winnipeg and a Twin Otter from Yellowknife to help in the search.
A military officer says the Canadian Coast Guard was also being called in to help.
