DUNNVILLE, Ont. -- Provincial police say a student has been charged following an incident at an elementary school in Dunnville, Ont.

Police say officers were sent to Thompson Creek Elementary School on Monday morning after being called by school officials.

Investigators say it was determined they were called as a result of a conversation a boy had with teachers at the school in the community about 50 kilometres southeast of Hamilton.

The 13-year-old is charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

He is to appear in court in Cayuga, Ont., at a later date.
