The Max Bell Arena in southeast Calgary sustained some significant damage on Friday morning after a car drove through the entrance.
At around 6 a.m., police say someone drove through the front doors of the facility, knocking a huge hole through the building.
Investigators say no one was on scene when they got there, and the vehicle used to gain entrance had been abandoned inside.
A K9 unit has been dispatched to the area to help look for clues and suspects.
Police say they don’t know what the suspects may have been looking for.
The investigation is ongoing.
