Attendance at the Centennial celebration of the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth is on track to set a record as visitors flock to the Stampede grounds to take in the show.
The Stampede set a new highest daily total for attendance on Sunday as over 184,000 people when through the gates at the park.
The nice weather is adding to the increase in attendance numbers and the rest of the week should see numbers soar along with the temperatures.
The 100th Calgary Stampede unofficially started with Sneak-A-Peek on Thursday, July 6.
Just under 40,000 people took in the early preview, an increase of about 1700.
On Friday, the record for same day attendance was broken as 108,455 people went through the gates, breaking the old record of 107,265 set in 2000.
135,252 people were counted on Saturday, up from 117, 860 on the first Saturday last year.
On Sunday, the record was set at 184,483 and so far the cumulative attendance for 2012 is just under half a million at 467,218.
On Monday, there was a lineup to get into the grounds and if the weather holds, attendance is on pace to be the highest yet.
A few of the more popular events were lined up but most were moving quite quickly.
The Stampede says it has never had to limit the number of people coming to the park because the footprint of the grounds is 193 acres.
