Nine Calgary eateries make 2025 list of 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in Canada

With Valentine’s Day quickly approaching, OpenTable has released its list of the 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in Canada for 2025, and Calgary has nine spots that made the cut.

The list, released on Wednesday, draws upon information from more than 900,000 verified OpenTable restaurant reviews and dining metrics from Dec. 1, 2023, to Nov. 30, 2024.

Restaurants are then ranked by the percentage of reviews with the tag “romantic.”

The Calgary restaurants featured on the list include:

- Alvin’s Jazz Club;

- Bolero;

- Bow Valley Ranche Restaurant;

- Chairman’s Steakhouse;

- Major Tom;

- Modern Steak (Southport Road location);

- River Café;

- Ruth’s Chris Steak House; and,

- The Lake House.

In total, 14 Alberta restaurants make the list, including the Heartland Cafe in Okotoks, and Sky Bistro and Lupo Italian Ristorante & Patio in Banff.
