It’s the day that many Windows aficionados have been waiting for as Calgary’s first Microsoft store is scheduled to open on Thursday.
Many fans have been camping out overnight to be among the first to get through the doors of the new store, but it’s not just techies.
Country music fans are also in the line because the first 200 people in line will receive meet and greet tickets for ‘The Band Perry’ concert at the Corral on Friday.
The following 2,000 patrons will also receive tickets to the concert.
However, the main draw for many will be the latest products the computer giant is offering, from tablets to PCs to phones and game machines.
The doors will open at 10:30 a.m. with a special event from company officials who will announce generous donations to several local community organizations.
