Calgary police and community members are still searching for Parker Wells, an 11-year-old boy with autism who has been missing for almost two weeks. Authorities say they’ve received more than 500 tips so far and have been using video analysis to examine hours of video surveillance. Calgary police say there is no tangible evidence to suggest that Parker was abducted. Teams were busy searching Nose Hill Park over the weekend, including the west parking lot and pathway entrance near Shaganappi Trail. Volunteers also mobilized in the Thorncliffe Greenview Community Centre’s parking lot to assist in the effort to find Parker. Organizers say they are following the guidance of police in their search. “All the eyes you can possibly get throughout Calgary is very important because you just don’t know where he may or may not be,” said Becky Willmott with the group Find Parker YYC. “The more people, the better, because it’s really important to bring him home as soon as possible to his family.” Anyone with information about Parker’s whereabouts is instructed to contact police or Crime Stoppers. If anyone sees Parker, they are told not to approach him but instead keep him in sight and call 911 immediately.
