The Lethbridge Hurricanes recent reign as the road warriors of the Western Hockey League ended Tuesday night in Calgary, when the Hitmen won 3-2 in overtime.
Oliver Tulk scored the game’s first and last goals, ripping home his 32nd goal of the season on a power play in extra time to give the Hitmen the victory.
The Hitmen also got a goal from Ethan Moore on a night when they outshot Lethbridge 40-18.
Luke Cozens and Braden Yager scored for Lethbridge.
In overtime, after Daniel Hauser turned away a scoring chance for Lethbridge, Caden Price of the Hurricanes was called for hooking. Thirteen seconds later, Tulk ripped home a shot to give the Hitmen a victory.
The defeat was the first in its past 10 road games for Lethbridge.
