Hitmen’s 6-game winning streak snapped in 3-0 defeat to Tigers at Saddledome

A six-game winning streak ended Friday night as the Hitmen dropped a 3-0 decision to the Medicine Hat Tigers.

The defeat kicked off a busy weekend for the Hitmen, who play three times this weekend, including a Saturday night rematch against Medicine Hat.

Kadon McCann opened the scoring two minutes into the game, followed by Oasiz Weisblatt who scored late in the first to make it 2-0 Tigers.

In the second, Ryder Ritchie scored to up the margin to 3-0.

The third period was scoreless.

Medicine Hat outshot the Hitmen 50-20, with Hitmen goaltender Daniel Hauser making 47 stops in the loss.

After its Saturday night rematch in Medicine Hat, the Hitmen return to Calgary to host the Regina Pats Sunday at 4 p.m.
