Dangerous windchill values of at least -40 prompted another round of extreme cold warnings from Environment and Climate Change Canada late Monday.
Some moderation is expected throughout the day Tuesday so the warnings in southern Alberta – including the cities of Lethbridge and Medicine Hat – are expected to be lifted.
Light and scattered flurries are possible Tuesday and again on Thursday, especially along the foothills, but if there is snow accumulations will likely be minimal.

Both the daytime highs and overnight lows are expected to remain well-below seasonal for at least another week, with four of the next seven daytime highs likely to be at or below average overnight lows.
