Beiseker boil water advisory lifted: Alberta Health Services

Published:

Residents of Beiseker, Alta., can now use water without boiling it after AHS lifted an advisory that was in place for five days.

Alberta Health Services (AHS) says a boil water order issued for the village of Beiseker on April 2 has been lifted.

The order was put in place after the village’s water system was depressurized during repair work, and included a warning that water needed to be boiled before being consumed.

On Monday, AHS announced “satisfactory” water quality had since been restored.

“All residents and businesses in these communities can return to normal water consumption practices as boiling is no longer required, provided they flush their plumbing systems prior to initial use,” AHS said in a news release.

More information about the flushing of lines following a boil water order can be found on the province’s website.
