Alberta’s iconic Fairmont Banff Springs has been named on a new list of the top places in the world to visit.
The luxury hotel is recommended in the 2025 Forbes Travel Guide.
“Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel stands in stark and beautiful contrast to other modern and urban getaways,” says Forbes on its website.
“Built in the style of a Scottish castle, the hotel’s stone façade and pointed turrets provide a stately outline against the breathtaking natural beauty of the area — the Canadian Rockies and Spray and Bow Valleys.”
The 724-room hotel has also been recognized for its Fairmont Gold experience, described as a “hotel within a hotel” – which received a four-star award.
The Fairmont Gold experience features 110 redesigned guest rooms, a lounge and an exclusive private courtyard entrance.
Gregor Resch, regional vice president and general manager at the Fairmont Banff Springs, says the award further solidifies the program’s reputation as a “pinnacle of luxury and excellence” within hospitality.
