2 Roughnecks net hat tricks en route to 11-8 win over Black Bears in Ottawa

The Roughnecks were too much for the Black Bears Friday night as Calgary held on for an 11-8 victory in Ottawa.

Jesse King scored a hat trick in the third quarter to help break open a 4-3 Roughneck halftime advantage, thanks in large part to Tyler Pace’s three first-half goals.

While Ottawa got one of its own to make it 7-4 heading into the final frame, Curtis Dickson netted two, Pace added his fourth of the night and Robert Hudson added one to clinch the victory.

Cam Macleod stopped 36 shots in goal to pick up the win for the Roughnecks, who moved to 4-3 on the season.

King and Pace each had six points on the night to lead the club offensively.

Next up for Calgary is a Friday contest in Vancouver against the Warriors .
