TORONTO -- Sears Canada says its chief financial officer is leaving at the end of June.
E.J. Bird is departing to pursue other opportunities.
Bird has been in the job since March 2013 and has held various other roles at Sears for more than a decade.
Sears Canada (TSX:SCC) has been cutting costs and looking for new ways of using its assets following years of declining sales.
Earlier this month, the retailer agreed to sell and lease back a Calgary distribution centre to Canadian Tire's real estate trust.
