Tiny Township man involved in February snowmobile crash dies in hospital

A Tiny Township man, who was involved in a February snowmobile crash near Penetanguishene, has died in hospital.

According to OPP, the 44-year-old snowmobiler succumbed to his injuries in a Toronto hospital on Sunday.

The crash originally happened on Feb. 27 on an Ontario Federation of Snowmobiles Clubs trail north of 17th Concession near Champlain Road. OPP say the sledder struck a tree.

The man was found on the trail unconscious by a group of snowmobilers.

The man was airlifted to a Toronto hospital with critical injuries.
