Another day of snow squalls, blowing snow and poor visibility has forced school boards to cancel buses across central Ontario.
With 10 to 15 centimetres of snow in the Barrie and area forecast, winds up to 40 kilometres per hour, and a wind chill making it feel like -24C out there, today’s the day to bundle up inside and read a book.
School buses have been cancelled in:
- Simcoe County – all buses and vans have been cancelled today. The Muskoka zone remains open.
- Trillium Lakelands District School Board has cancelled buses in Zone 4 and 5.
- Shared School Services Transportation has cancelled buses for Meaford, Thornbury, Flesherton and Mardale.
- All Bluewater District School Board (BWDSB) elementary schools, secondary schools, and work sites, including the BWDSB Education Centre, are closed today.
