‘Princess’ the boa constrictor has been missing from an Owen Sound house since Saturday morning.
Owen Sound Mayor Deborah Haswell says that experts have reason to believe that the snake is still inside the owner’s home at 11th Street West and 4th Avenue West.
“These breeds of snakes are permitted in the City of Owen Sound, however in accordance to by-law 1997-089, section 1.3; they must be kept in escape proof cages.”
Boa Constrictors are heat seeking, so the snake would be in a dormant state if it was outside.
