A water main break that caused a serious depletion of Shelburne’s water supply has been repaired.

The town says the break was located on a stretch of County Road 124 on Thursday morning and was repaired by the afternoon.

Officials say they were alerted to the depletion on Wednesday, at around 2:30 p.m. The town immediately informed residents and asked them to reduce their water consumption.

The county’s emergency management coordinator was also contacted and worked alongside the town’s public works department and Shelburne police.
