Several provincial police officers were in an Orillia neighbourhood Monday to investigate what OPP is calling a disturbance.
Yellow police tape surrounded an area on Shannon Street near Gill Street.
Police aren’t releasing many details at this time, but did say there is no threat to public safety.
Paramedics tell CTV News they transported one person in stable condition to the hospital.
“Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have CCTV footage from the area is encouraged to call the OPP non-emergency line at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous,” police stated.
Shannon Street has since reopened but police say some officers will remain in the area for the investigation.
