A heavy police presence has been observed Friday evening on a popular Barrie thoroughfare.
While police are not releasing many details, a spokesperson for the Barrie Police Service has confirmed officers are conducting a death investigation.
Multiple police cruisers were seen on Harvie Road, between Fairview Road and Bryne Drive early Friday evening. Police did not say when officers were called to the scene.
While no other details about the death have been shared with CTV News, a spokesperson did confirm there is no threat to public safety.
