Person of interest sought in connection to Innisfil cottage fires

Police are looking for a person of interest after several cottages went up in flames in Innisfil on Friday morning.

South Simcoe Police is looking for a teenager they believe may have information related to three cottages fires along Lake Simcoe.

The individual is described as a male between 16 and 17-years-old, with long dirty blond curly hair. He was last seen riding a mountain bike away from the scene.

The fire broke out at the cottages on Ninth Line, around 6 a.m. When firefighters arrived, the buildings were engulfed in flames.

The cottages were completely destroyed – no injuries are reported. Neighbours tell CTV News that the cottages were a popular hangout for teenagers.
