Police are investigating a two-vehicle collision Tuesday evening in the Peterborough area that resulted in the death of a 32-year-old motorist.
According to OPP, officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes and Peterborough detachments responded to a serious two-vehicle collision at around 6:30 p.m. on Highway 7 near Parkhill Road and Lily Lake Road. Fire crews and emergency services also reportedly attended the scene.
Police confirm that a 32-year-old died as a result of the collision and that the other motorist involved was transported to a trauma hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The area reopened after being closed for several hours as investigators worked on the scene.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and encourage anyone with relevant information or video footage to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP.
