Police are investigating a Saturday night crash on Highway 400 in Innisfil that resulted in one driver getting sent to hospital.
According to the OPP’s Highway Safety Division, officers received a call just after 8 p.m. about a single-vehicle rollover in the southbound direction just north of the Innisfil ONroute.
Police say the vehicle struck the metal guiderail on the right of the highway and landed on its roof in the left lane.
The 28-year-old male driver was reportedly taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The highway was closed in the southbound direction at the Innisfil Beach Road exit after the incident as investigators worked on the scene.
Police are also reporting a two-vehicle crash on Highway 400 near Sturgeon Bay Road, where, according to Orillia OPP, a jack-knifed tractor trailer and passenger vehicle collided. No injuries were reported in that incident and the area has since reopened.
Police are reminding the public to stay safe and avoid travel if possible.
