Two men appearing to steal a truck were spooked when a police cruiser arrived.
A South Simcoe Police officer turned onto Bannerman Drive in Bradford Tuesday at around 2 a.m.

Police say as the officer approached, two people ran away from a blue Dodge Ram pickup truck that was parked in a driveway, towards a black pickup parked across the road.
As police approached the driveway, the black pickup took off.
Thwarting the theft of the Dodge Ram, police were also able to obtain video footage from a front door security camera at the home.

Crime Stoppers doesn’t subscribe to call display and callers will remain anonymous. Callers don’t have to testify in court and their information may lead to a cash reward of up to $2,000.
