Provincial police say a head-on collision in New Tecumseth late last week claimed the lives of three people in their 20s.
Emergency crews rushed to Tottenham Road shortly before 6 a.m. on Friday for a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a pick-up truck near Alliston.
Police say the two vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when they collided. At the time, provincial police said the driver of the passenger vehicle, a 25-year-old man from Brampton, died at the scene.
One week later, police released new details confirming a 25-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man, both from Brampton, were also killed in the crash. All three were in the passenger vehicle.
The driver of the pickup truck was not seriously injured.
The area between the 12th and 11th lines was closed for several hours for the investigation.
There is no word on what caused the deadly collision. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
