Moosa joined the CTV News team as a digital news lead in May of 2026. Born in Pakistan, he immigrated to Canada, with his family in 2000. Growing up in Mississauga, he attended journalism school at Toronto Metropolitan University in 2016. After graduation, he started his career as a print reporter, focusing on community journalism in the Niagara Region, covering local issues, municipal politics, business, COVID-19 and human interest stories for over a year. After a brief stint with the Canadian Mining Journal, Moosa got his start on TV in Regina, Saskatchewan with Global News, where he also occasionally worked as a weather anchor. While out there, Moosa extensively covered the Saskatchewan Government's notorious 'Pronoun Policy' and the legal battle that ensued in Saskatchewan King's Court. In 2025, Moosa returned home to Ontario, continuing his work with Global News as a broadcast journalist, working in Durham. He covered Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Clarington and more for over a year, as he reported on the many issues faced by one of the fastest growing regions in the country, such as crime and urban expansion. Moosa speaks English, Urdu and Punjabi.
