Julianna Balsamo

Julianna Balsamo joined the CTV Barrie team as a journalist in 2024. She discovered her passion for television at a very young age, which led her to pursue a degree in Radio and Television Arts, earning her Bachelor’s in Media Production at Toronto Metropolitan University. Julianna plays a dynamic role in the newsroom, contributing to assignment producing, breaking news coverage, and working alongside the digital team to write and source content for the web. She plays a part in daily story planning, coordinating coverage for community events, and maintains communication with city officials and emergency services. She also works as on-location camera operator, capturing interviews and visuals for the Barrie newscast. Julianna enjoys chasing breaking news and sharing feel-good stories with her community. She speaks English.
