Person hospitalized after vehicle-pedestrian crash on Spring Garden Road in Halifax

One person is in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a vehicle-pedestrian collision on Spring Garden Road in Halifax Wednesday afternoon.

Police issued a traffic advisory about the crash around 4 p.m. They said the portion of Spring Garden Road between Dresden Row and Brenton Street was closed to traffic in both directions.

The public was being asked to avoid the area and take alternate routes to avoid delays.

In an update around 4:30 p.m., police said the road has reopened.
