A 29-year-old man from Brookfield, N.S., is facing an attempted murder charge following a stabbing in Millbrook, N.S., over the weekend.
RCMP responded to a call from a residence on Birch Bark Road around 1:45 a.m. Sunday.
When police arrived, officers found a 31-year-old man with multiple injuries inside the home.
The force says officers learned he had been stabbed by another man he knew. Police say officers found the other man in another room in the home and arrested him.
The injured man was taken to hospital, according to an RCMP news release.
Police searched the home and seized further evidence.
Brenton Joseph Arsenault is facing charges of:
- attempt to commit murder
- assault with a weapon
Arsenault was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Truro provincial court on Tuesday.
