A 27-year-old man is facing charges related to sexual offences after an alleged incident at Mic Mac Mall in Dartmouth, N.S.
Halifax Regional Police responded to a report of a suspicious person at a store in the mall around 2 p.m. Wednesday.
Police allege the man approached and touched a person he didn’t know.
Officers arrested the man after a brief foot chase and struggle.
Police did not release any additional details about the alleged victim or the incident.
“No further details will be released out of respect for the victim’s privacy,” said Halifax Regional Police in a news release.
Cole William George Fidgen is facing charges related to sexual offences, resisting arrest and failing to comply with court orders. He was set to appear in Dartmouth provincial court Thursday.
CTV News reached out to police for further clarification on the sex-related charges, but Const. John MacLeod said they “are not providing any further details at this time.”
