Man charged with manslaughter in teen’s drug overdose death in Dartmouth last year

Halifax police have arrested a man in connection with the death of an 18-year-old in Dartmouth, N.S., last November.

Officers responded to a reported drug overdose at the 200 block of Craigburn Drive around 7:20 p.m. on Nov. 10, 2024, according to a news release from the Halifax Regional Police. They found Darian Clayton-Fleet deceased in the residence.

Following an investigation, police arrested Lance Kevin Rogers, 19, in Dartmouth around 9:15 p.m. on Monday.

Rogers was charged with manslaughter and criminal negligence causing death.
