Five people arrested after police search Halifax home in relation to weapons investigation

Halifax police arrested five people as part of an ongoing weapons investigation.

Halifax Regional Police has arrested five people in connection with a weapons investigation in the city Wednesday morning.

Police say officers searched a home on Allan Street in Halifax shortly before 5 a.m.

During the search, police say officers seized property in relation to the investigation, however no weapons were found.

The force says five people were taken into custody.

The investigation is ongoing and police say charges are expected.
