Police are investigating a fatal house fire in Big Harbour, N.S.

Nova Scotia RCMP is investigating a fatal house fire in Big Harbour.

Emergency services responded to a reported structure fire on Big Harbour Road around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, according to an RCMP news release. The residence was fully engulfed in flames.

Police found one occupant of the home deceased. Police did not release any details about the victim.

The cause of the fire is not considered suspicious at this time, but the investigation is ongoing.
