Police in Cape Breton are searching for a man following a stabbing in Sydney Mines, N.S.
Cape Breton Regional Police responded to reports of an altercation between two men in an apartment complex on Burchell Street Wednesday afternoon.
Police say one man was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The second man, who is from Sydney Mines, had already left the scene, according to a news release from police.
“Both individuals are known to each other, and police are treating this as an isolated incident,” reads the news release.
Police and K9 searched the area for the second man but were unable to find him.
The force continues to search for the man Thursday and says charges against him are pending.
