The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Halifax has been cancelled.

The annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Halifax will not go ahead this year.

A post on the parade’s Facebook account Wednesday evening said it had not received confirmation regarding the route.

The parade typically falls on the closest Saturday to March 17.

Last year marked the 17th anniversary of the parade, which travelled down Lower Water Street.

The parade is organized by volunteers of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade Society and is expected to return next year.
