The Saint John Police Force is asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman they say is a person of interest in connection with an armed robbery.

The Saint John Police Force responded to the robbery at a lounge on Westmorland Road around 2:21 a.m. Thursday.

Police say a man with a firearm entered the lounge and attempted to take money from the cash register.

Police say the man got into an altercation with another person in the bar and the weapon was fired.

The man was seen leaving in a dark-coloured four-door sedan. Police say he was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt with a white emblem on the chest at the time of the incident.

The force has now released images of a woman they are calling a person of interest in the case.

The woman is described as having a thin build, long straight hair with a portion of her hair shaved under the ponytail, and tattoos visible on her neck and hand.

The Saint John Police Force is asking anyone who recognizes the woman or has any information about the incident at the lounge to contact them at 1-506-648-3333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
