CTV Atlantic The CML Book Club’s April selection is “When the World Fell Silent” by Donna Jones Alward.

The book is historical fiction, set during the time of the 1917 Halifax Explosion.

It focuses on two young women – Nora, a nurse, and Charlotte, a working-class mother – whose lives are forever changed by the blast.

The CTV Morning Live team hopes you can join them in reading the book over the course of April. They will share their thoughts and next pick in early May.
